This is one of the very few effects that I perform that I feel comfortable performing anywhere and
any time without any fear of being caught. Under all conditions, this effect is brilliant. You can
be surrounded by people intensely stareing at you and this effect can still be pulled of. One of the
major problems people have is that not everyone wears shirts with breast pockets and if it's a girl
you are, it's somewhat intrusive (I found that out the hard way). You can just as easily use a
jacket pocket or a sweatshirt pocket while performing. The effect is not hard to master with some
practice. You should be fooling people in a few days after reveiwing the DVD. Oz Pearlman is not
anything special as a magic teacher (not like Greg Wilson or Richard Sanders) but you get the whole
effect. This effect is worth the money and I highly recomend it.

Oz has done it again. He's taken an old effect which many magicians arent aware of and added his
genius to it which turns it into something no less than phenomenal. I had been performing this
routine for a number of years and it always got a huge response. However, I had to do all the work,
the shuffling of cards along with placing the card into the deck. What makes Ozs performance so
awesome is that you can use the spectators deck (or a borrowed deck), allow the spectator to place
his or her card into the deck, and allow them to immediately shuffle the cards until they are blue
in the face. I can now show my hands totally empty and with next to minimal handling, reveal to the
audience that the spectator has been in control of the cards for the majority of the routine. Oz
uses a secret method for you to instantly locate the spectators particular card which is simple as
can be and so unsuspecting to anyone around. Whats more, you can learn this method and apply it to
many other card routines. Even if you know how this routine is done, learning the method is well
worth the purchase alone.
Oz is thorough in his teaching leaving nothing out. In fact, I
learned from my own personal routine where Ive been making some mistakes that made my own handling
more difficult than it could have been. For the money, this is purely simple to learn, profound,
gets a huge reaction, and is a must be for novices to professionals alike. You wont be
disappointed!

I really like this trick but the only problem I have with it is the price. I think that this should
be 9.95 like the rest of the instant downloads because there really isn't anything that special
about the trick. But this is a really good trick and I would def add to cart. If money is not a
problem then ADD TO CART.

This trick requires your audiences' attention, so it's not a good one to open your set. But after
you've surprised people enough to have their attention, this is a great trick for when you really
want to tell a good story, slow things down a bit, and fool the skeptics in the crowd who think
they're on to your schemes.
If you audience is not paying attention they'll miss all the
ways in which you truly are being fair in the handling of the cards. I've performed this and had
people shrug because they missed the impossibility of it. This trick performs much better after
hitting people with some faster magic up front. This trick has only one miracle at the end of a long
story, so they have to be adequately prepped for it.

In the promotional video Oz states that "the best tricks are simple" and that's no lie when it comes
to Clutch. I have performed Clutch about three dozen times before writing this review and have been
flawless in performance. The effect is as clean as the demo reel shows and has an amazing impact.
Spectator's eyes light up when you immediately hand them the deck to shuffle after they selected
their card. The reveal is super quick and requires no sleight of hand. My advice, develop a patter
that fits your image and you have an extremely powerful effect.

Clutch is one of those great tricks that just haven't been done. Unlike a lot of "new" stuff out
there, this actually is a brand new, fresh trick. The handling is very natural and there is very
little slight of hand used so beginners can quickly learn this too. The best part is that it happens
in the spectators pocket unlike most tricks where it's in yours. If you get this, you will learn a
trick that will always get great reactions from your audience.

This is beyond useful not just for this effect but for a clean way to find a selection any time for
any effect. There is another trick on Penguin called BOUND which does this but with rubber bands on
the deck. The beauty here is in getting BOTH for a deep routine. I am using Bound for phase one.
Then CLUTCH phase two. Then back to BOUND phase 3. The wild beauty here is that as taught in BOUND
you can end with a switched deck (Invisible? Brainwave? Stack?) AND continue your show with what
was clearly an examined deck . . . Buy both and you will be thrilled!

Awesome trick for needing no set up work I can't understand why people are complaining on the price
for it on other post. Id pay over 50 dollars for it. It's an improvisational trick, real easy to do
and packs a big punch to my audience and keeps them wondering. I don't know if I will use it as my
closer or just before intermission but it's one of the best. I will post me doing it on my facebook
page as soon as I record it on my next show add me as a friend and come and watch if you'd like.
