Okay, bought this based on the description, and it was a mistake. With all of the great magic out there, it's not worth taking the risk of doing a trick like this that screams GIMMICK! The chip has no reason to look like it does. There's also a reason this piece of junk has been available in the "open box" e.g. "returned" section over and over:(

I've been doing magic for 25 years now and I don't care how it's handled, the chip looks suspicious...which then makes it look like everything else you do is done w suspicious things or calls for people to look at things w much more scrutiny, as opposed to when you perform with more natural things and they focus on the effect.

It doesn't look natural that any chip would be made to look like this. The effect and payoff isn't that great that it's worth casting a shadow over your other effects because this one looks fishy. It's the kind of thing that gives magic a bad rap. Spend your money on something else!

Pros- I really like the method here, very easy and clean. The presentation ideas are ok, leaves a lot of room for your own presentation.

Cons- Can only be done with those five symbols and there are lots of ways to accomplish a 1 in 5 reveal. Also, the gimmick will not hold up to close scrutiny. So for reasons it gets 3 stars.

This is a fun trick to perform. Sometimes the gimmick sticks though and you might have to invest in a stronger m--- to reset it. Otherwise it's fun.

I loved this gimmick and concept. Bought two of them instantly. The only downside of this as mentioned is that you can only perform the prediction effect with the 5 ESP symbols. However, because of the way this is present and the way the gimmicks work, you can do it extremely cleanly. The quality of the gimmicks is also top-notch in my opinion. It should last you for several years to be honest.

Overall, if you're looking for a clean/fair way to do an ESP predition effect, I would suggest getting this.

I do magic as a hobby and typically do simple card tricks and expanding to gimmicked tricks. I was worried at pulling off the slight but this is super easy. Some reviews stated that the gimmick will not hold up to close scrutiny. I would disagree. Just like all the lectures if listened to...I do not focus on the gimmick or invite people by saying..."Look at everything." I casually leave it on the table. I have had people handle it with no issues. I would definitely get this. Especially for someone that may work at a restaurant and does walk around magic.

I have found this to be a strong effect. The props work well and the video is well explained.

Wonderful effect !! the idea of the chips is not new.
However why complicate your life? very simply
you can use the cards marked: ESP of Piatnik
(if some magician old man like me has yet)
or mark those supplied, so you skip many steps
and it focuses on Chip.
Simplify,Simplify,Simplify.

Love this one. I perform it every time I go out to the bar and it gets great response!
