Daryl was known for sleight so well timed and second nature, you never think, "he's doing a move." Instead his personality and natural charisma dominate the magic. You know he's doing magic, but nobody cares how he's doing it.

He was a contemporary of the 80's rising young stars: M. Ammar, P. Harris, D. Roth, etc. and every bit as skilled as them, but he excelled them in performance persona. You can see his style being inspiration for David Williamson who added his own madcap nature and made himself a legend with it.

What's more, Daryl was a master teacher of magic. His course on card sleights and sponges are unequaled. You watch him and wonder if you can do what he just did, then his teaching is so clear and ego free, you just take in the method.

We lost him too early and too tragically. His impact should not be forgotten and his courses must not be skipped.

Daryl was part of the great young masters of magic in the 80's. A contemporary of M. Ammar, P. Harris, D. Roth, and a friend of them as well. Daryl mastered world of second nature sleights that there is never a moment where you think, oh he's making a move. His persona shines through with a natural charisma that the aforementioned masters should have learned more from. You can see his inspiration in the likes of David Williamson who's madcap energy seems to pull directly from Daryl and then kicked up to 11.

Daryl is a master worker of the sponge and remained THE master of sponges until the introduction of Xulio. He is also a brilliant instructor. We lost him too early and too tragically. His courses are the best teaching of the subjects you can expect.

Perfect balance between being easy to follow and having tons of content.

For me...The Great Daryl...and his work here is Triple-A-plus material...like everthing else he gave us. In my humble opinion, even if You are a seasoned spongie pro, You'll find here enough to improve your game. If You are not, here is enough to become one.

I cannot say enough good things about this series. It's brilliantly shot, expertly edited and very thorough.

Daryl is amazing to watch teach. He was brilliant to watch perform, and I had the honor of seeing him do so many, many, times at the Castle. This is like him sitting there with you, walking you through every aspect of what to do, how to do it, and more importantly, WHY to do it a particular way. It's brilliant, fun, and so amazing to watch.

This course walks you through the history, techniques, handlings, routines to make you an expert at Sponge Balls. I liked it so much, I've ordered the "Essential Sponge Balls" just so I can see more of Daryl in his element.

If you never have seen Daryl perform this is a great opportunity to see a master doing what he does best.

A few of the great performers have, from time to time, given the magic community a wonderful gift by collecting the knowledge and wisdom of past legends and publishing their contributions under one theme/genre for the benefit of serious students worldwide. Such is Daryl's Master Course Sponge Balls Set.

Levent, and Pete Biro have given us the equivalent in Linking Rings. Levent's Miser's Dream, and Multiplying Balls are another example, and Jeb Sherrill on Zombie. Rice, on silk magic also comes to mind. Many others, too numerous to mention, have contributed as well. I love it when someone takes the time to amass and compile the wealth of information regarding one aspect of our craft that saves time, money, and effort for those who want to fully immerse themselves in learning that one particular effect.

Daryl has borrowed from, and credited, many sources to provide us with plenty of information to design our own routines with Sponge Balls (not to mention many other effects under their own headings). Nearly everything one would want to know about sponge balls is contained in these four volumes for quick and easy reference. Daryl was/is a real "teacher" and keeps the student relaxed and attentive while delivering a wealth of information on each subject. You can't go wrong here! The production values are superb, and each volume is professionally produced and a delight to watch and listen to. The price is practically a give-away for all that you can glean from this series. If you're interested in learning Sponge Balls, I'd highly recommend starting here. . .most other sources will become unnecessary.

Daryl was one of the great teachers of magic as well as an awesome, performer and he will be missed. Daryl teaches everything you want to learn about sponge ball magic and this is a must have set if your into sponge ball magic at any level!

This set is very well done. If you buy this complete set you will really have a great collection. The price here is a real value. I enjoy going back over the teaching of this outstanding teacher. Dairy is one of the best in teaching. I am happy with my purchase. I own many DVDs concerning sponge balls. This is by far the best. Could have done without the other videos if I had got this first.
