This is a nice package.

First, the rings are really nice. If you have ordered a "cheaper" set of rings before, you know there can be serious problems. Here, the rings look good, have a good weight, and have a good size. The quality of the key ring is impressive - the gap is "built in," whereas in cheaper sets I would have to physically pull apart the ring to create the gap.

The video is great, too. It will give you a solid close up ring routine with which to get started. In fact, if you learn just one move, you should be performing a good, deceptive linking ring routine within 5 to 7 days. And with a couple other moves taught on the video, you will have a real worker of a routine to feature in your close up/ walk around work … FOR WHICH YOU DON'T NEED A TABLE.

Matthew Garrett teaches the moves, and it is truly hard to imagine someone better - you see what mastery of the moves looks like and can work to emulate Mr. Garrett's work. Mr. Garrett performs and teaches some advanced techniques as well. He also teases some of his other products to incorporate into your linking ring routine if you want to "go further."

In sum, this a great, one-stop-shop package to learn and start performing the close up linking rings.

If I have one complaint, it is that the rings are advertised as the "nicest rings money can buy." They are nice. And they are relatively pricey. With that being said, I am satisfied with the price-value relationship here. I got nice rings and a great video for about $77. But to declare them the "nicest" is a little over-the-top (which I knew it probably would be, in all fairness).

My key ring had an obvious blemish on it. I contacted Penguin's customer service about it and they immediately remedied the problem - so kudos to Penguin for that. The claim that the rings are the nicest money can buy is simply a bit disingenuous. But the rings are nice, don't get me wrong. With that caveat, I can wholeheartedly recommend this product. Put in the work, and you will have a great routine for close-up/walk around.

His instruction is designed to see you learn a routine with these and be out there within an hour or less performing with it.

On top of the superb teaching, these linking rings pair up with other products including Ninja+, Ninja Fusion, the GiR impossible expansion set, and possibly a few others.

Overall it's a great purchase and place to start with linking rings.

If you can't find a used set of Shoot Ogawa's Ninja Rings (the original sets, NOT the new crap that's for sale everywhere and are not really endorsed by Shoot, despite what the package says. I know - I asked him about it at a lecture), then your next best option are Matthew Garrett's rings. Smooth welds and excellent finish. A bit thicker than I'd like and with a larger gap in the key than is necessary, but otherwise, a fine set.

The rings are a bit bigger then i thought well bigger then my messado rings there a little lite and the key ring is an odd shape or maybe i got a crappy set . But i dont want to bash cause i never had to but maybe next time for the rings make them with a little weight and the key rong a bit better.
