THE SPECTRUMALIST is not only one of the most baffling mentalism routines ever created, it is 100% commercial. The audience participation ensures great entertainment value from start to finish in this six-minute routine, culminating in six separate applause cues.

You invite a volunteer to assist you with your mind reading. This could be the CEO of the company, the birthday boy or girl or the Best Man at a wedding. Each of five volunteers then choose random objects, with no force at all. These are placed into bags and mixed thoroughly. As you, the performer, remove each object from the bag, in any random order, your mind-reading volunteer is able to determine to whom each object belongs. As the final revelations are made, five applause cues are guaranteed as well as huge round of applause for your mind-reading assistant who feels like A STAR!

Use any objects! Balls, Coins, Cards, Photographs... Literally anything that fits in the small bags.

This is one of the best tricks a magician can perform when playing to a crowd. Not only do you get six audience members involved in the routine, you also get to make one of them the star. The bags are beautiful and well made. The routine is well thought out engaging. The instructional material is filmed well, explained nicely, and includes multiple live performances. You also get all the performance rights (including television) for the routine. And you get all that in a package that can fit into your pocket. Really, what else could you ask for?

I have owned this for years. It is great mentalism, but the idea is not completely original. We all stand on the shoulders of giants.

I like this, it is easy and you can make one person the star (stooge) - it takes 30 seconds of instruction. It can be a CEO or a 7 y/o.

It is strong mentalism, but the patter provided is a little "Adult" (not bad for most groups, but probably not in a church or for young kids - you see worse on TV), and it could have more jokes - I guess that is my job!

It uses 6 people, it is hard to mess up. You just have to remember 5 colors in order.

It packs small and is quick to set up and very easy to do.

The video uses snooker balls. It does not come with these balls, although they are great. You provide the objects. They can be anything, but I think snooker balls are the best because they all feel the same - which is important. The jokes in the provided patter are also all about "balls". I bought some snooker balls for this.

The only things you really have to worry about is a volunteer forgetting the color of his ball or someone purposely lying - so have a response ready, especially if you are dealing with a drinking crowd.
