An up and coming mentalist may be tempted to give this material short shrift because of the lack of
batteries and remote controls, but listen carefully to every word Paul says during the explanation.
Where as other performers spend hours explaining how do their moves, but purposefully withhold the
helpful tidbits that can only be discovered from experience, or "The Real Work" as it's sometimes
called, Paul gives you *everything*. Why the method, different choices you can make in different
situations for the method, the jokes, why the jokes, when not to do those jokes, perspectives on
character and cultural awareness (and every audience is its own culture), and he does it succinctly
and clearly. But, if you don't pay attention to it, you'll miss it!
The best part is, this
act has material you can draw from for your own A-material or can be used to save you should your
act get lost or stolen and you now need emergency B-material.
It's well explained, with
show it's only a 90 minute video. It's practical. It will give you ideas for other performance
pieces, and even the effects you won't use will have good thinking in the explanations that you can
learn from.
