I really like the concept but so far, several people that I did the trick for immediately notice the
oddly wider bottom/base. In the videos they seem to imply it looks like another coin on the bottom
but it sticks out quite obviously and uniformly all the way around. I think people should be aware
of this due to the slightly higher cost of this effect.
I also agree with other with other
reviews that mention the color of the stack, almost all quarters have almost 90% of the thickness
visibly a copper color.
I forgot to add that the paint/color has already started to wear off on the metal/coin bottom facing side of the gimmick.
Not to mention that even silver quarters have a ridged edge..not smooth like a nickle. He tried to solve 1 problem and created 2 NEW ones 😫
I don't have the answer to solve the various issues with this trick but thinking one possible correction would be to make it a bit more of a messy stack rather than perfectly stacked. The US quarter does have ridges but do show more copper than silver, which could potentially be added to the stack.
Ok if you want a nearly perfect match to the gimmick, use five Canadian quarters and one French 2 Francs coin for the bottom. The French coin is the perfect diameter, no one has ever called me out on the gimmick. Now the French coin does have ridges where the gimmick does not, but like I said no one has called me out. I get great reactions from this trick.
