One of THE most recognizable magic props of all time just LEVELED UP for the 21st century... introducing ProCaps by Lloyd Barnes.

Known to most as Dynamic Coins or Nickels to Dimes... this classic "beginners" magic toy has remained an all time, global bestselling trick for 3 reasons:

  • Incredibly fooling.
  • Highly visual.
  • Extremely easy to do.
We think the reason more magicians don't perform it though... is because traditionally it looks like a "magic prop".

NOT ANYMORE.

Lloyd Barnes has taken this vintage trick and reimagined it for the modern day conjurer.

ProCaps was designed to replicate everyday bottle caps; this stealth-like set allows you to VANISH, TRANSFORM, APPEAR and TELEPORT stacks of coins with total ease, right under the spectator's noses.

Every detail was considered when developing the ProCaps gimmicks. Cross-continent research uncovered the most common bottle cap colors and logo designs to make Pro Caps inherently organic.

The intricate precision sizing allows for a one-size fits all design for both UK, USA and other similar sized coins (10p and Quarters respectively).

ProCaps comes with a red cap AND a blue cap so you can use both in performance - or choose to use either a "water" or "Coca Cola-styled" bottle.

The once named 'Bang Ring' has been organically reworked for ProCaps to look like the common plastic seal that's broken when fresh bottles are cracked opened.

Everything makes sense. Everything is copacetic.

If the ProCaps set alone wasn't enough; we've brought in Craig Petty (The Magic Cafe 2021 Creator of the Year) to teach you 11 brand new, NEVER BEFORE PUBLISHED routines (including multiple live and/or in studio performances) in an over 2 hours long in-depth, intricate explanation video.

With tricks designed for beginners as well as challenging professional level routines, ProCaps has something for everyone.

Whether you want a new way to vanish 4 coins as a finalé for your Matrix routine or want the perfect gift for a budding new magician... ProCaps is your answer.

They say "The classics are classics for a reason"... sometimes they just need a fresh new look.

This is ProCaps.

  • Organic objects.

Quarter Deficiency Report this review

This is a pretty good trick. However, you will need actual silver quarters if you are using US coins. The gimmicks look ridiculous if you use the modern quarter.

Appreciate the work into this but… Report this review

Probably works better with 10 pence coins but not well with American quarter.

Perhaps I need more practice but doing the classic routine I find the 5 times I have done it the audience catches onto the method and the coin stack becomes very suspicious given its unique construction.

Perhaps if I can find some 10 p coins at a reasonable price here in the US I willl pick this back up again.

I must say the cap and pence variations are great and will probably be the way I present this in the future.

Coin matrix routine is wonderful too.

Really wanted to do the classic routine but it fools no one by the end.

low quality gimmick Report this review

My gimmicks lasted about 8 min. The bottom of the red caps is losing color, and it becomes really obvious as to what it is. This is much worse than Tenyo - recommend DO NOT BUY.

I think Penguin should have not marketed this product.

Looks truly ghastly, talks, major problems Report this review

The gimmick is massively discrepancy from a mile away, talks, doesn't feel right, etc. This may fool especially blind, unobservant, or just plain dim spectators, but it's not going to cut it with most audiences in the real world.

Wanted this to be good Report this review

As most magicians, I loved this effect when I was younger. So to make it more practical and use a more common item was a no brainer to me and I preordered as soon as I could. However, I couldn’t be more disappointed. Everything that everyone else is saying is an issue. The bottom part of the gimmick looks awkward and no matter how hard Craig Petty tries to sell that this makes it look more natural, it simply isn’t the case. Also, the lint on mine chipped the fist time I used the bang ring. Penguin was fantastic and got me a refund.

Stay away from this one

I wanted to like this, but cannot Report this review

No matter how many times you say no one will notice the silver rim on the bottom of the gimmic doesn't not make it unnoticeable. I really did want to like this. A really good idea. A terrible execution. The gimmic just doesn't cut it. Gimmic is both terrible in design and color. Second, why in heavens name would you not include a bang ring in both colors since it's justification is the ring holding the top to bottle. It would have costed pennies. This one if for the auction pile. Not recommended.

missed the mark Report this review

I really like the concept but so far, several people that I did the trick for immediately notice the oddly wider bottom/base. In the videos they seem to imply it looks like another coin on the bottom but it sticks out quite obviously and uniformly all the way around. I think people should be aware of this due to the slightly higher cost of this effect.

I also agree with other with other reviews that mention the color of the stack, almost all quarters have almost 90% of the thickness visibly a copper color.
