Dan's sleights are excellent. He's taking known slieghts and tweaking them to be perfect to his
style. The magic is delightful. What really sells this lecture is Dan himself. He's doing magic with
a natural aesthetic that is so approachable I can't help but feel jealous. The way he does his magic
on the lecture and how he responds to the environment and people around him should be a separate
lecture. He is always kind, always self-effacing, but it never interrupts his performance or rhythm.
You get the feeling that every performance he does is different even though the magic is likely the
same. He has a script, but he has an awareness of everything around him and he uses it to
personalize the performance. I can't tell if this is developed thoughtfully or if it is organic to
who Dan is at the core. Either way, I learned so much more than I expected.
