Monti can't focus for more than two minutes (I'm not kidding) before
going off an a tangent about something completely irrelevant. Even his digressions have digressions.
I felt like I was watching a hyperactive kid on a sugar binge at an open mic night. At times, I
forgot what he was initially explaining (and so does he).
The first two effects took 1
hour 20 minutes to get through. 2 hours in, Monti says he's boring himself with his off-topic
rambling. Several times he refers to the lecture being edited (he doesn't seem to realize that it
won't be).
Monti needed to set an agenda in advance and have someone make him stick to it.
But honestly, I don't think anything would have been able to do it.
Skip this lecture and
