You really need to buy this in conjunction with the 2nd volume as well and the Essentials
predecessor.
An incredibly thorough treatment of the routine. Exhaustive detail
masterfully told and engaging to listen to. The video is long, but it seems to fly buy due to
Daryl's engaging and entertaining delivery.
A MUST HAVE for any fan of magic and anyone
looking to master this old classic and it's variations. (And to come up with your own!)

Daryl's Master Course is fantastic. Thorough, almost exhaustive, discussion of the material,
history, equipment and delivery. If you have "Essentials of Magic - The Essential Cup & Ball", you
will hear much of the same material but at a much deeper level with greater detail and context to
performance.
I have both volumes (and you WILL want both in orser to truly see it all and
learn the 3 routines) and CANNOT say enough good things about what this series, and the Essentials
DVD before it gives - right down to some dog-fone snappy patter! Daryl is so engaging that the
hour+ lecture is over before you know it... and you are left energized and eager to get your hands
on the cups and start practicing.
The C&B is now a critical part of my routine and will
always be. Live thus. Buy it. You will NOT regret It! (BUT GET BOTH!!! And Essentials if you
can afford it...)

Excellent material as always from Daryl! Crystal-clear instructions and very informative historical
insights. If you're looking to master the Cups and Balls this is for you...
This Daryl cups and balls video (and the vol 2) might be great, but I couldn’t tell you because the
video keeps erroring out. It will play for like 10 minutes and then an error will appear that
persists for hours.
I reported these errors with detail and screenshots. Penguin has not
responded. I understand that it is the weekend, but I work in website development and support, and
when it comes to delivering a reliable website experience, weekends are not a thing. Heck, sleep is
barely a thing. This is just one example of the degradation of the quality of the website here.
Others include a very limited mobile experience where you can’t even navigate to your cart without
switching to the desktop version, a lack of responsive website design, a server error on the mobile
version of the cool box page, no “sort by” options (an e-commerce standard), and having to trudge
through hundreds of out-of-stock items every time you perform a search or browse. These technical
shortcomings may have been understandable in the early 2000’s, but certainly not in 2021. Penguin
has been my exclusive magic supplier for over 15 years, but I’m really starting to wonder if it’s
time to look elsewhere. When the entire product IS the video content, there needs to be a website
support mechanism in place to ensure uptime. When I receive a report of a functional error on one of
my client’s sites, I drop everything and resolve it immediately. Someone at Penguin is asleep at the
wheel.
