Any close up pad that is at least 14" in width (4 cards x 3.5" = 14")

Along with the size requirements that MagicYoda brings up you need a rubber backed mat for the trick to work. The surface needs to be tacky. A rubber place mat would work. I know that Flom and others have also used a board sprayed with re-positional glue. This way you can put the board on an easel and use it in a stage or parlor setting.
