Obviously, very similar effects.
'BP ESP' is uses a slightly different handling (both are very easy)
Plus, the usage of the different back colors in 'BP ESP' adds a layer to the effect that can't be achieved with 'Symbolic'.
I like that the spectator can pick either the red or blue backed cards.
I can't really get into gimmicks here in a public forum...
In closing, I always recommend the newest release or any product...
Generally, whatever is in the latest release is always of value.
