Imagine this: you and your spectator are each at home, connected via a video conferencing app. You are each holding a deck and you count to a random number given to you by a spectator and it happens to be, say, the 10 of hearts. You ask your spectator to count the same number of cards and he also gets the 10 of hearts!
You show the spectator how he can shuffle the cards, he gets a number and then he shuffles again.
He tells you his number and you count to that number in your deck and one card appears. You ask the spectator to count to the same number and the cards match, they are both the same and both appear at the same number!
