I bought the espionage wallet thinking that this would be a great wallet for mentalism... and it IS. But I must say I have a problem or two with it.

First off let me tell you what I LIKE about the Espionage wallet. All the features of the wallet (that were advertised) are great... in theory.

I LOVE the peek functions. The internal peek I thought was very clever. The external one I've seen before but is still very clever in design.
The billet/card index is very useful.
The holdout system has many uses for mentalism and for magic as well.
The Shogun System is nothing new in design but is a very thoughtful add-on to the features of this wallet.
The SUC Function is perfect for peeks but I find the loading feature is not as easy as some other wallets.
I personally don't perform the card to wallet routine but any magician that does will enjoy this wallet.

But there are some features that just don't work as well as I hoped. And it's not from lack of experience... I'm talking mostly about the card to wallet feature. I used to perform card to wallet when I started out doing magic but as I said I now only perform mentalism. Without giving away the secret... It's not that easy to load. It seems like it should be easy because of the design but I find it to take too long compared to some other wallets.

The other feature that I dislike is that the wallet is a bit wide and does not fit in every traditional pocket. This makes it difficult to remove the wallet or place the wallet back without some fumbling.

So, all in all I would recommend The Espionage Wallet by Kieran Kirkland and Alakazam Magic. Just keep in mind about the pockets you use.

this is the wallet I end up using as my everyday wallet. I would've preferred the Stealth assassin because it is more compact, but the espionage has so much more room for not only all your money and cards but for your tricks as well. It gets a little bulky but no more than is typical for a regular wallet. This has all the SA's features and more, specifically a bigger billet index slot and the shogun feature which is a big plus. With this, I can do Kolossal Killer, show only one card in the slot at first and then do the trick. The billet index leaves more than enough room for both SA's shortlist and KK and a little bit more. The tricks taught on the DVD aren't that stellar but with all the wallet's features, you can come up with lots of great ideas. There's a lot of potential with this.

This wallet is INCREDIBLE! It's the wallet I've been waiting for. I was originally going to purchase the workers dream, but I was turned off because I found out that you can't do all of the features at a moments notice. With the Espionage wallet, you can do ANY feature it offers at a moments notice. This means you've got an entire arsenal of effects in your back pocket ready to go at all times. The leather quality is beautiful. You can carry your business cards, credit cards, Colossal Killer, Cash, powerball 60 and extreme burn. This isn't counting the MANY features this wallet has built into it:

Peeks:
This wallet has 2 peeks, the cloak and dagger peak, and the suc peek. The cloak and dagger peak is fantastic. IMO it's better then the SAW internal peek. The spectators have no chance of catching a thing. The SUC peek you can do right after the C&D peek if you want, but also is fantastic for a one time peek as well. Again, the spectators will never catch a thing because of how smooth the peek looks in live action.

The same SUC feature also works as a palmed card to wallet, AND you can also use this for nail writing effects. Picture this, you say to a spectator you have a prediction in your wallet. You ask them to think of a number or a word/name. You then do the secret writing, ditch the writer, open the wallet, unzip the zippered compartment and you pull out the business card to reveal you predicted their word/number ect. They will FREAK at that.

This feature also works great for other prediction style effects as well. You can put three pieces of paper with writing on them, folded up, and placed in the zippered compartment sticking out. Then you can tell the spectator to put each piece of paper in different pockets, and you can then predict which pocket they were put in by either writing it down before hand or just simply telling them out loud.

This wallet also has a showgun feature on it, which is nice for switching out extreme burn for regular bills, plus many more uses. This wallet also acts as a magnetic holdout, which is great for switching/ditching magnetic coins, or imagine doing chop, and having everything on the table when you vanish the bill into the lemon. Those who have chop will know what I'm talking about.

This wallet also has a billet index which is great for short list, and several routines you can use it for after that. Basically, if you have just this wallet on you, along with your other effect you can carry in it like the ones I mentioned above, you've got an entire act in your back pocket at all times. If you have just this wallet on you and nothing else, you can astound people for over an hour.

That is fantastic to know because a lot of times I forget to bring anything with me but I always bring my wallet, and to know my wallet has all of these effects in it ready to go at all times means I will never be unprepared to do magic for anyone ever again. I will always be ready at a moments notice. And that's a great feeling to have. Simple put, add this to your cart now, it's worth every penny.

This huge wallet is a swiss army knife for magicians!It is well made ,and beautiful and big but still fits on the back pocket of a pair of jeans easy.The abilities to hold playing cards is result to the size(which i love).The internal peek is great.The dvd instructions are well put together
and very entertaining. I CANT SAY ONE BAD THING.Normally i spend this kind of money i feel like an idiot whether its good or not but not with this its a must have.

Best magic wallet I have owned. I only use it for one purpose in my magic but it is so powerful I don't think I will buy another type of magic wallet. This is GOLD.

Kieron Kirkland talks way too fast and his marginal English is hard to understand at times.

Really A Wonderful Wallet..With some good practice, anyone can create miracles with this..!!!

This is the best of the best as far as wallets go!The only small negative is that Mr Kirkland talks way too fast and is hard to understand at times.

Just realizing it's finally in stock at Penguin 🐧! I bought this from Alakazam directly because it was sold out here and not any update as to when it may be back in I'm glad to see it's here. I was like nooooo way!!! Now it randomly comes in as I browse for more magic.

As a loyal Penguin 🐧 customer , I wanted to leave a review as I am constantly buying new magic here and can't thank everyone at penguin and alakazam for making it such a brilliant wallet some people don't like to do a whole act with a Wallet which is what you can do. You don't have to do that but you get a very long video and the quality is superb. The only downside I would say is the size of the wallet but don't let that steer you away from an amazing product that as a mentallist and wallet collector this is hands-down the best wallet. I can't stand impression devices because they never work for me they're not good enough some people like things like psypher , Which I have had and there are wallets out there that combined impression devices with the wallet I think illusionist and the phantom wall that are similar in that way however forget about the impressions. This gives you an internal and asked ternal peak. The SUC function you are going to use probably the most it is amazing to walk up to someone put something in a zippered pocket in your wallet and then the secret makes everything amazingly magical. Never give away the secrets of this wallet and use it and always with care. This is built to last a lifetime treat it right and it will be right back to you! stay magical! – Andrew ACE

This is hands down the best wallet I've ever purchased. I have tried the Real Man's Wallet, the Fire Wallet, the Fred Kaps wallet, the Blind Man's, Mullica, Aleph, Cerberus, you name it. But the best in my honest opinion is this one. Why? Because:

1. Each feature has multiple purposes so you can use them for more than just their original intent.

2. It can be used as an every day hip wallet. I find that far more organic and natural than a breast pocket wallet. With a breast pocket wallet, you need to have a coat, and that is something I find very unnatural especially if you work during the summer without a coat and someone asks you to do a trick.

3. You can carry so many things in this wallet, it's not even funny. I use it for the Kolossal Killer, Card to Wallet, Powerball 60, the Magicard, Lubor's Lens, Bill Changes, Room Service, S.U.C. routines, everything a magician (not a mentalist) would want to perform. I can carry around an entire show in my wallet with this bad boy.

4. It's not solely centered around the peek system. I HATE the wallet peek principle, with a passion. Why? Because out of all the places you can put a written piece of paper, your wallet is the last place I would want it to be if I were a layman. Because then I would know that somehow you looked at it and could tell what I wrote or drew. So the wallet peek principle, I think, to a layman, in their mind can take away from the effect. I can just as easily put the paper behind my back, in my pocket, give it to someone else, etc. Even if the paper was provided in your wallet, why does it have to go there and not anywhere else? It's just not a practical location in my eyes. That's why the Espionage wallet is perfect for more than just a mentalist wallet.

5. The number one best reason that I love this wallet is because it's big enough to carry everything and it'll last a LOOOONNNGG time. I lot of wallets I've purchased in the past have really worn down over the course of a few months to a year at the most. I want a wallet that will last me a lifetime (overstatement) and the Espionage Wallet is definitely the wallet to do the job.

It's worth every penny and I give it my seal of approval. Thank you Mr. Kirkland for designing a masterpiece!
