I have the NOC Summer blue deck and it is great, but this Winter lavender has disappointed me: the colour is so pale that it seems almost gray or even white, and the marking system is very difficult to read.

Before I bought this deck of cards, I had the Blue and Orange Summer NOC decks, and I love them. They are just so smooth when handling them and the plain color back is simple, yet so gorgeous. When I saw these cards, I decided to splurge and get them. The color just looked too nice not to buy. When I received the cards, I was honestly disappointed because I thought they may have sent the wrong deck. The box just looked grey. I pulled the cards out and they also looked grey. This made me proceed to see if there were grey Winter NOC’s, but I found that there was only Lavender Dusk and Glacier Blue. I eventually figured it out that depending on what lighting you’re in, and what color the background is, you might see grey, or lavender. The feel of the deck is so nice and smooth as expected, but the color isn’t what it seemed. In fact, the color is so much cooler than it had seemed. It kind of makes it a color changing deck without even trying to. It’s such a subtle lavender that it messes with your eyes like an optical illusion, and I’m perfectly content with that. Overall, this is a really good deck, but then again, I don’t think I’ve had a really bad deck.
