The straw I received is not the one pictured in the video. Rather than being a white frosted color (like the product's name clearly states), the straw is transparent.

I would not have bought this product if I knew it wasn't opaque; I was expecting it to look similar to the type of straw you would receive at any McDonald's restaurant (as it appears in the video), but it's not.

I almost never write reviews but i feel extremely compelled to write one on this fantastic product. I use this in my kids shows. After about 50 shows and hundreds of kids grabbing at it, bending it and trying their best to figure out how it came from the bag; it is still in great condition and works perfectly; albiet it has a few bend marks in it but other than that its great.
Any product that can withstand the force of a hundred seven year olds deserves high praise!! highly reccomended.
I thought people would figure out the secret after seeing it and holding but they are stumped! I would go so far as to say this trick is almost examinable! haha!

Thank you very much Lloyd for manufacturing this! Amazing quality frosted straw with the lines down the side, so it looks exactly like a McDonald's straw. Perfect to pull out of a McDonald's take out paper bag. Very high quality material that does not crack or split when you engage it.

I love Lloyd's idea of making more than one appear out of the bag because it's extra impossible. It is huge! being 8 feet tall/long!

Love this! The straw I got was definitely frosted and has one red and one yellow stripe. As you pull it out, it definitely has the desired effect.

I was worried with the 1st negative review that this was going to be a cheap Chinese dud. I brought a different straw one off Penguin 2 years ago and edges did not come together-Penguin refunded me. So I was on the look out for another straw.
After seeing more +ve reviews roll in I decided to take the risk and buy 2.

Any one familiar with the original straws from sorcery Magic made in England( I brought my original straw 8 years ago and the plastic is cracking after many shows.) Ok its not white and the plastic is not as thick but I did pay $40 for the original 8 years ago.
It came out as smooth as you see on the clip and the sides came together, no gap!Even the original straw from sorcery needed time to come back to shape after being rolled up for 4 weeks in transit. This straw is AMAZING! For a traveling magician on road for weeks its important that you can leave this rolled up and ready to go!!(But long term it needs to be stored open.
Yes the straw is opaque not white,but it just looks cool! the join is almost invisible. Even if they discover the join by feeling it, its still very baffling

The plastic is not as thick as the original and may not last forever but for the price you can't go wrong!
Another bonus for me is, its very compact and light and you can fit it into a small AUSTRALIAN Maca's bag(its snug but it works-not sure what U.S mac's bags are like)
Just a comment to mention- When I pulled it out of a Maca's bag in front of my family and My 14 yr old son's words were "it looks just like a real maca's straw". Hes worked in Illusion shows with the family since he was 7 and if it doesn't look good he would say so!

This was billed (or represented) as a McDonald's-like straw but it is not. It's clear plastic with stripes. So my intent to show a real McDonald's straw and drop it in the bag will fall short of a convincing transformation. I've purchased these in the past and they were white plastic, not clear.

It's a clear plastic straw and it's very well made. Perfect for kids shows.

For all those worried about the transparency of the straw, McDonalds has now gone to the exact same straw! It just took a while for the old style to get used up! This new one should match the current straws!

When I recieved the first straw, there were some cuts. I send a picture to penguin, they sent me back another one without any problem. Thank you.
