Great variety! this lecture gives you tons of tips and ideas to immediately put into anything you're currently doing. Lots of good info on audience interaction and the reasons behind doing certain things. This can be applied to either the restaurant worker, busker, or hobbyist.

And just when you think you've got the material under control, Doc kicks things up into high gear with some amazing card magic. This is definitely challenging stuff, but within reach of the serious student.

Highly reccomdended!

Doc is a great guy, we were lucky enough to have him at Assembly 8 in St. Louis, MO for a lecture. We got to see some of this act live. Doc has been around the magic world and has performed Street Magic!

There is some seriously good thinking here, I particularly like the section on his full street magic routine. In addition great advice and cool card effects. The methods that Doc explains are both practical and professional.

Esoteric Moves Report this review

OK, Doc is a worker, and his routines show this. The routines he teaches are workers. That is, they are practical routines designed for consistency. You know, impactful versions of classics. But that is not why I gave this 5 stars. If you are like me, you watch these lectures in the hope that you will come across something esoteric and quirky. So, Doc's chop cup routine doesn't deliver this, nor does his bill in lemon. Those are perfectly fine, however. But around 3/4 of the way through, Doc shows some card sleights and "improvements" on sleights that make this lecture worth the money. The moves are not easy, but I can already see they are doable. They are quirky and deceptive. This, as they say, was worth the price of admission insofar as I am concerned.

The utility square up mentioned in the title is a very interesting.

There are also some decent street/standup parlor routines in here.
