Good Material - Minimal Opening Report this review

This comes with no instructions, so you should already know how to use a Devil's Hank if you buy this one. The material is good. Size is good. The opening, however, is smaller than most Devil's Hanks I've seen. I have seen them made this way, but not very often. The opening is in one small area in the corner. Which means that if you gather the cloth to make a 'bag', the opening requires that you place something in the 'bag' from the top, where you are gathering the corners. Most Devil's Hanks have openings that are halfway across the top of the cloth, which allows you to easily, casually drop your item into the pocket opening and look very much like you just dropped it into the makeshift 'bag'. With this one, you have to drop it in from the top, and the opening is small - limiting the shape and size of what you can drop in it. More than the size limitation, though, it's the awkward opening. Who drops something in such a 'bag' from the tippy top of one corner? It just looks less organic or natural.
The material and print are good quality and do a good job at concealing the item contained within the cloth.
Another review mentioned a 'rip'. I don't believe that is the case. The cloth is not 'ripped'. The way the cloth is made, it is open inside the pocket; meaning it is not stitched to the inside wall of the cloth. This allows the cloth to look less thick, and flow better. It has a secondary benefit, as well. If you turn the cloth over on that side, what you put in it doesn't fall out. the open material catch your item; which can be a 'fooler' for some who may know about, and suspect, a Devil's Hank. But I would recommend not turning the cloth upside-down, as your item will likely fall out. The down-side to this is that, to retrieve your item, You must hold the cloth in its upright, loading position, stick your hand/arm into the small opening, and manually retrieve the item. This can make resetting the cloth for another performance, or emptying it so that you're 'clean', or any type of re-appearance of the item, problematic. This is definitely for a one-and-done vanish of a small object.
Also, some of you who have used this type of utility item before may have models with small buttons sewn into the 'up' side of the cloth; or a small ball bearing or other such item; so that you can quickly, easily and accurately orient the cloth the way you need it without looking or double-checking. This cloth has no such 'helpers' for you. All that said, I personally really like this Devil's Hank. Like I said, the material is good and does the job well. It's just the construction I have some issues with. I'll be carrying it in the car as an 'always handy' utility item - just in case. But it won't be part of any regular performances, though. Because of the small, awkward opening and the lack of any helpful orientation apparatus, I'm only giving it three stars; despite it having some positive features.

Really well made devil's hanky Report this review

A really well made devil's handkerchief. Fabric is nice, seams are tight. Thick enough to hide stuff, but thin enough to still look like a hanky. Someone else's review said they thought the gimmicked opening was too small and I don't think so at all. I can easily fit phone, keys, wallets, etc. in with no problem. I also like the fabric with the polka dots, I feel like the design helps to hide things as well when the hanky is shown full. This thing is great, and better than many other higher priced hanks.

Just received the TCC Devil's Hank and could not be happier with the product. It is appropriately heave so it does not show bulges from the load that is left in the gimmick. Yet, it is light enough not to be suspicious, even up close. The sewing is beautiful. Most professionally done.

Frankly I only needed a simple, get by "hank" to experiment with and had planned on purchasing a more expensive (assuming better) hank after I finished my experimentation. Absolutely no need. This will last for years.

Thanks Penguin and TCC for such an excellent product. The box has "eorld-class" printed on the top - That is most appropriate.

Great Quality wish it had instructions Report this review

The quality is great and I am happy with my purchase overall. There are no instructions, which should be fine because it isn't difficult to figure out. I wish it had at least come with some advice on handling and how to retrieve the items to reappear.

It seems well made with decent material. It hides the objects well at least for my purposes..
Only drawback, I wish there was some instructional video.

Ok but it was ripped Report this review
Verified buyer Pro Privacy ON (login to see reviewer names) on March 14th, 2018
The quality of the material is great the size is pretty big a little bigger then I wanted but that is ok. Mine unfortunately came with a rip on the part that makes the magic happen making objects subject to falling all the way in and making it really hard to retrieve the item. To bad.
Also has no instructions at all.
