Arthur Christopher Wiehl

Hey guys! Can anyone that bought Arthur by Christopher Wiehl, tell me whether the gimmick is durable? Like does it feel like normal cards, can it be inspected by the spectator etc.?

Great question! The gimmick is built from real playing cards so it blends right into your deck. You need to be careful when you first receive your gimmick because it can be damaged if you use it improperly, but the explanation video covers exactly how to use it so it lasts a long time.

The entire deck cannot be inspected, but with a little thought you can easily get the gimmicks in and out of play.

Also, you can do tons of other effects and handle the deck very naturally all with the gimmick in there. Including spreads, shuffles, controls, cuts, selections, and almost anything you need. Use the deck casually and use it for other routines and no one would have any reason to assume that the deck is not normal in every way.

When I first wrote my review, I hadn't taken it out in front of people yet as I had just gotten it in the mail. I am telling you when I did this trick for a room full of magicians at our local SAM Assembly, it was very disarming even though they all know how it's done. And today was my first time taking it out on the town. I literally got gasps when performing it for laymen, it plays very strong, and people's theories, are way off from the actual method. Figure out a switch like I did, do it as they are still holding the "sword" card, (Put "heat" or undue attention on the card, not the deck. that will give you ample opportunity to do the switch,.. plus you don't need to switch the whole deck, just the dirty portion which makes it even easier) immediately hand them the now normal deck to shuffle for your next trick, and they will be so baffled that they will sit there inspecting the cards with an utter baffled expression on their faces.

Straight to the point, no complicated setup, nearly zero technical skill required (aside from audience management), easy to understand,... This effect is killer!

The gimmick feels like normal cards, but they can not be inspected by the spectator as they will know the secret if they do.
