There is no loop of any sort. The body of the device is magnetic, so it has that going for it.

As for attaching it to a reel, you will have to experiment because there are no outright loops, hooks or open spaces through which to hook up to. There are certain types of pulls you could slip it into (like a lighter leash type device), but that would probably hinder the operation of the smoke device.

The best way to think about this device and reels is to think magnetic, but I am not sure that would be secure enough. I hope this helps. If not let me know and I will try and clarify.
