Can uk coins be used?

I will buy this impressive trick if English coins can be used, can’t seem to get an answer on this!

This answer is not useful
English coins actually work better than American coins. Many English coins readily available will work. It requires a gimmicked American coin though. A gimmicked American Penny is provided.

Coins from the UK can be used...that's good news.
Note: you'll obviously have to change the presentation to center around someone else other than Lincoln.
