Does Penguin hold reviews on new effects?

One of the things I like about Penguin Magic is that they have no qualms about publishing negative reviews of effects. But I'm wondering if they might try to spur sales of new effects by holding all reviews if the initial ones aren't as glowing as they had hoped? I'm thinking specifically of "Taken," which has been on the Bestseller list for a while now, with not a single review? The description makes it sound almost too good to be true, and I'm curious to read feedback from those who've already purchased it.

In all fairness , ive seen the same thing happen with positive reviews, they possibly do that , but I really doubt it .

All reviews are checked for profanity, relevancy, and exposure before they are posted. Sometimes the approval process takes some time. We don't remove or withhold negative reviews just because they are negative.

What's the solution? Be patient. When a new effect is released it takes some time to ship to those who order it first. It could take two or more weeks just to arrive in the mail. Then it takes time to watch and play with the trick and get a good feel for it. This could take a couple of days. Then, the review needs to be approved.

If, after a few weeks, reviews are still good, send us an email and we'll try to help you understand what you are getting as best as we can. If you don't like it afterwards we'll try to help you out there as well. Just let us know!
