It's my belief that Prism is one of the few books that is great for beginners and advanced magicians. There is some great stuff in the book.
An effect like Kiragami, is a great piece that can be performed on stage with several participants, or close up with one person. It works in the spectator's hands and is completely self working. It's like a Scrabble trick without a Scrabble board.
Four sided triangle is another great effect, classic Max Maven. It is a great primer in pre-show work. Many magicians get into mentalism and completely botch this principle. Max Maven teaches you the right way to do it.
And then there's the Gilbreath Principle. If you aren't aware of this principle you need to get this book. It's an amazing way of predicting order after a spectator shuffles the pack. The amount of incredibly easy, incredibly fooling magic you can do with this principle and a normal deck of cards is worth the price of the book in my opinion.
