Torched & Restored was originally released as a booklet in 2001 and sold by Penguin. In 2013 a PDF called Torched & Restored Revisited was released on Penguin.
That PDF teaches you not only the mechanics of the trick but also the theory and thought that went I to creating the effect. It's a great read if you want to know more about my creative process and thoughts on performing the effect.

This download is the first time Torched & Restored has been released as a stand alone effect in video format. I truly believe this is the best place to learn the mechanics of the effect. We worked really hard to make sure everything was easy to understand, clearly explained, and filmed. I'm super happy with how this turned out.

I wish that the PDF version was included in the current release, as I'm having trouble following the video. (Part of the problem is that my computer is old and and can't download MP4 files. So I have to stream, which means that I can't jump ahead or backtrack.)

Why isn't the PDF included as a value-added? That version has already run its course so it wouldn't result in lost sales. And it would help people like me who learn better from reading that from watching.

Hey Brent, thank you for taking the time to give me the history of the effect. I remember now having the booklet and I guess I bought it from somewhere else since my first order here was in 2003. Glad to see it is doing well, it is a great effect.

You should get to keep the version you bought. Look under order history and make sure you ordered it or call customer service if you have an issue.

torched and restored has been published a few times by Brent. The version we have now is the most current update on what he has available.
