Can this method be also used with a borrowed book or only the one supplied? I ask because another magic store mentioned that such a method was given also. I only trust you guys.

The tutorial video includes a presentation that involves two books-- the one provided and another book of the magician's choosing. However, it is NOT possible to perform the effect without the prop included in the purchase.
