Sorry. I couldn't resist. I had to make some sort of Destiny's Child song reference. I so much wanted to say that this was bootylicious... but it's not quite. Close... But not quite.

Please don't get me wrong... it's still a good trick. In fact, I like it a lot! I am glad I got it. I will give it a try. And as usual, Cameron's skills as a magician are quite obvious as he teaches. He does a good job teaching.

However, I do see a couple things that make me, when spectating, wonder... As a spectator, when I cut the cards, to see Cameron show after this that everything is in order... I would be like "wait a minute... shouldn't they be at least a little mixed up? i mean we did like 6 cuts." Mind you... I understand. But it might be just enough to make a spectator think and get a little distracted. So that's a little sticking point for me. I don't know a way to explain out of that one.

The other thing I noticed is that all the reactions he had to the tricked seemed to be a little lackluster. Some chuckles etc. to the point that he had to kinda basically say "no need to applause"... because they weren't. Truthfully, I don't understand why, because for me, it really is a great trick. But something gets lost along the way. I can't quite figure out why spectators aren't impressed. I certainly was. I mean, to guess the card and then place it in the proper order and then do the switch. Honestly, it's a great trick! But still... if it doesn't blow the spectator's minds, well, then unfortunately it's kinda a dud. I hate to say that because I love everything Cameron does, including this one. But I'm just trying to be honest.

It's not a trick for the drawer though... it has potential. I just have to figure out what isn't working for ME. The patter is not my style. I think I'd like them to look at the card and then I'd figure out the card by "reading their body language", ask random questions, etc., much like how Derren Brown does it. That would be more impressive than simply guessing or holding your hand over theirs and feeling it. There's a kinda cheesy feel when you do it that way (my personal opinion). That's just me though. That second card transpo also seemed a little rushed/over simplified. I think the patter Cameron used doesn't do that move justice.

LIke I said, I think this is a good, even great trick. I just feel the presentation needs to be tweaked some. Again, just my own opinion for ME.

I will say that there were some nice moves here... anyone entering the world of sleight of hand should check this trick out. Good stuff. I liked the variations... one exceptionally bold. The variations really were like bonuses on their own.

The trick itself is a strong 4. The ease of executing this trick is a 5 - perfect for beginners. The teaching is a strong 4. The presentation itself I'd say is about a 3.5 or so.

Cameron, please don't view this as a negative review. Just trying to be honest and constructive. I really did like the trick and I think it's definitely worth the buy. I actually have no hesitation in recommending this trick. It's almost a 4 and I rarely give a 5 out unless it's really visual (read: "magical"). I just think that tweaking the presentation is necessary to do this great trick some justice.

(By the way, I always try to be honest and straightforward in my reviews, while being respectful to the magician. Well written review, however, one part stands out to me.

Sounds like your're thinking like a magician in the spectator's shoes, rather than just a complete lay person. I would imagine that to a lay person, the deck being in new deck order would simply be part of the effect. To them, it's just magic.

It's like the floating dollar bill. Every magician knows exactly how it's done, but when shown to a lay person, it will fool them every time. They'll look at the bill floating, and even though logically, there must be something supporting the bill. They are so drawn into the moment, that logical thought usually escapes them.

Point well taken JonWild. It is definitely hard for me to separate the magician's perspective from the layman's. however I will admit, with IT work such as the floating bill, before I was doing magic, while it always impressed me, I would always somehow know it had to be some sort of IT. I remember when I saw this in real life once. It looked so real it sent shivers up my spine. At the same time, I knew it had to be some sort of IT. I just didn't know how.

When I saw Copperfield fly across the stage on TV or go through the Great Wall, I knew it wasn't real. But I was still mind-blown. Sometimes I'm too analytical... always trying to figure things out. But at the same time, it's good to just sit back and enjoy the show and, for a brief moment, believe that it's all possible.

By the way, while it shows my name in this and the last comment as "warpedmind", I'm the guy who wrote the original review. I'm "sleightly off"... in more ways than one. LOL! Thanks for your comment, jonwild.
