I absolutley love this trick. Lately I've been trying a different approach - I ask the spectator to
name their favorite ACE and then show that I've reversed all of them, hand them the cards and their
thought of ace is spelled on the back. I think it's much stronger and it justifies the reversed
aces. Idk, I think it makes it a little "impossible" in the spectators mind to have them name ANY
card. Sometimes (depending on the effect) when an outcome of an effect is perceived as absolutly
impossible it makes the spectator to start thinking and reverse engineering of ways (sometimes
obvious)it could've been done.
Anyway, this is a fantastic trick and well worth the $$$.
Im with DonP2011 , Your taking something really good and diminishing it , its a bit like asking someone for their favorite ace and then pulling it out of one of your pockets . But best of luck to ya , whatever works for you...
DonP211, I do this both ways (think of an Ace or think of a card), depending on my mood and/or situation. I love this trick to death and I'm not really worried about it being figured out. I just think sometimes it plays a little stronger using just the 4 Aces. In fact, I'm making my own deck to perform it with just the Aces for certain situations. Also making a deck that's all the same color back and playing around with a (Blizzard) deck switch. Imagine handing the deck out and the only Aces in the deck have the name of their card written on the back - and then continuing to other routines. Awsome!
George Broderick..I totally agree George, this is one killer card trick! However, I do think you're worried over nothing though. If you are doing the trick like you stated, you are taking it from a 1 in 52 shot to a 1 in 4 proposition, not too impressive. Please, do not worry at all about your spectators figuring this one out, it ain't gonna happen! This little gem is fooling magicians all over the world...go for it!!..Now get out there and really mess with some minds!....Good Luck!
