This is really so good. It takes several concepts that I'm familiar with and links them together
into a fantastic presentation. EVERYTHING is borrowed and seems so random, yet the result is
completely impossible. You will learn this quickly and it will blow people away. Highly recommended

Because that is his opinion and judgment. Four stars is great, but perhaps five would be reserved for some ultimately perfect effect.
Ok but it brings down the overall rating of the trick just because it doesn't match some abstract version of perfection.
Isn’t this technically what reviews should look like? Personalized, Honest and upfront? I’m willing to bet that his version of 5 stars surpasses this product. Meaning, this reviewer has seen a 5 star product. Besides, 4 stars is a good review.
"So good", "fantastic", "will blow people away", "highly recommended" - how is that not 5 stars?

What do you care that this is a 4 star review versus 5? Still very positive.
It would be informative to know the con(s) that led to a less than perfect review. I agree with that.
However the purpose of reviews is not to do Penguin's marketing for them, or reaffirm YOUR personal opinion. The purpose is to help prospective buyers decide if an effect is right for their needs. What do you care if overall score is reduced? Do you have some financial interest in the success of this product? (That's rhetorical, I don't think you do.) Really seems odd to me that this is such a big deal to you.
