Children should not use this without adult supervision. If you follow the instructions carefully it works great. The tutorial is good but throughout it Shin Lim makes it clear that he had nothing to do with the design of this device. seems like maybe he is unsure of the device itself or the safety of it.
With some creativity, and carefulness, this could produce some really great effects.
