Well made, attractive, unique and clever, are just a few of the accolades which you can bestow upon
"Past, Present and Future" by Rick Lax. If you don't mind carrying around an extra deck of cards to
present something special, I would highly recommend this. Due to the nature of the presentation, it
cannot be repeated for the same crowd but that shouldn't deter you from using this. The premise is
different and engaging. The only thing I would recommend is to study another source of tarot card
interpretations because the "revelations" that are provided don't exactly sync up with traditional
interpretations, and should you come across someone who is familiar with them, they may call you out
on your "reading".
Actually that isn't really valid. As a long time tarot reader and student of tarot history I can point out that there is no such thing as "traditional" interpretations. There are various schools of tarot each with their own ideas. By and large you will find a great variation of interpretations in different books, as well as in the brief instruction booklets that come with a deck. So if anyone "calls you out" reagrding your interpretation you can be sure that they don't know what they care talking about. You could just ask them which "tradition" they are thinking of: Golden Dawn? Rosicrucian? French? Swiss? Crowley? etc.
Incidently the traot deck used here is produced by a magic dealer with specially designed cards unique to him, and similarly he supplies his own book of individual interpretations.
