it's not a closer Report this review

The gimmick is well made, and not random. It has an old style quarter and a new style quarter on each end so you're covered regardless of which kind of quarter you do borrow. I just hoped that they hid the dates too.

I was pleasantly surprised that the reaction was better during the unlinking phase. The linking part has similarities to the routine in David Roth's coin magic book, but this routine is more streamlined and doesn't require lapping.

It would have been a great bonus if one (or more) of the coins in the gimmick was also magnetic. I could use it as a ditch for other gimmicks (like Erik Casey's bill test), to ditch the gimmick for this routine, or to magnetize other objects like paper clips.

This is a good opener or a transitional routine, but it is not a closer IMHO.

If your concerned about the dates on the quarters you need to go back to your text books and study the part about 'audience management ' because if you ever actually performed this correctly its a non issue...

I agree with Omz40. I find it hard to believe that the backs would be a problem, i can't even wrap my head around how dates would ever be an issue.
