Sorry Wolfgang, making a joke about a gay magician disappearing 'with a Poof' might have been
acceptable in the 1970s, but it's not okay in 2017. A few of these 'jokes' are just downright
offensive in this day and age - The rest are just in the 'Take my wife, please!' category.
Most 'pros' would be happy to find ONE good joke in a publication. Everyone has different tastes. Just because you are offended by one, doesn't mean that everyone else is! Remember when you point a finger, you have 4 pointing back at you! I found good dozen I could use immediately! And by the way, if you don't like a joke, DON'T USE IT, but don't go make a publication sound bad just because you have issues! Not cool!
Regardt - If you're using these, I'd hate to see your act. You completely misunderstood my review. My issue is NOT that I was offend by certain jokes (although they are far more likely to attract a pitying groan rather than a laugh) - my issue is that my job is to entertain paying customers and NOT to offend them with ill-judged homophobic comments. That is definitely NOT COOL!
Thanks to this review I'm buying multiple, to give away to other magicians; anything we can do to fight this mentality of woke cancel culture is of utmost importance.
